KCBS Certified BBQ Judging Class Registration
The KCBS (Kansas City Barbecue Society) Certified BBQ Judge Class and Table Captain Class are essential training sessions for anyone interested in becoming involved in competitive barbecue judging. The BBQ Judge Class teaches participants the basics of evaluating barbecue, focusing on the critical aspects like appearance, taste, texture, and tenderness. After completing this class, attendees can become KCBS-certified judges, enabling them to evaluate BBQ in official competitions. The Table Captain Class, on the other hand, is aimed at individuals who want to manage judging tables during competitions. A Table Captain oversees the judging process, ensures the smooth operation of the table, and assists the judges in interpreting rules. Both classes offer a hands-on learning experience, preparing individuals to actively contribute to the fair and accurate evaluation of barbecue while immersing them in the world of competitive BBQ.
Meat and materials are ordered based on the number of participants. Each participant must fill out the form below. Registration is not complete until payment is received. Must be 16 years old to judge, but 15 year old's can take the class.
